RecyclEarth Foundation

RecyclEarth Foundation is a section-8 company led by a team of mentors and advisors. Mr. Praveen Agadi and Mr. Satish Munavalli are the chief mentors. The success of RecyclEarth Foundation hinges on the active participation and the awareness of the citizens of India. Raising awareness about E-waste is one of the primary goals of the organization, there are initiatives being set in motion. Initially the collection drives will be planned in North Karnataka and subsequently we will be spreading to other parts of Karnataka and later to other parts of India.

The end of life Electrical and Electronic equipment is normally dumped in the landfills or sold to scrap buyers.

The E-waste is collected and channelized to formal recyclers, who are registered and authorized by the State or Central Pollution Control Boards (SPCB/CPCB) to dismantle and recycle the waste in a manner that is environmentally friendly. The local municipal authority of Hubballi-Dharwad has also realized the dangers of improper E-waste disposal practices and has taken up arms against this rising E-waste menace.

In one of the next posts we have mentioned how everyone can Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
